Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart (/ə˞ˈkow/ /grart/ [hot] [interest (curiosity; concern)]) is a temperate Small City located in the Vēkæ̈piijuwitlu Principality of the Shayeli.
The name Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart is derived from the Sylvin language, as Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart was founded by Viveta, who was culturaly Gnoll.
Climate
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart has a yearly average temperature of 2°C (35°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cold 6°C (42°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing -2°C (29°F). Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart receives an average of 207 cm/y (81 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the long winter months. Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart covers an area of nearly 19 km2 (7 mi2), and an average elevation of 1924 m (6312 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart was founded durring the late 15th century in spring of the year 1375, by Viveta. The establishment of Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Viveta struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart as a prison colony.
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart is buildings are built arround a single broad paverstone mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Astonishigly, the timber-based walls are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.
Right off the bat Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Many of those buildings are schools, scriptoriums, and even one college. One can only wonder what knowledge the town has come into.
Civic Infrastructure
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart's parks.
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart.

Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart's natural decorations nor waterways.
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Cultural Notes
Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by grandeur of scale, simplicity of geometric forms, dramatic use of columns, and a preference for blank walls. This design ethos extended to re-imagining earlier styles of structure to create them anew, with a similar overall look and feel to one another..

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart lost 154 people, 296 livestock, and 64 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 35, when members of Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart's militia enacted an operation to secure a particular strategic location to utilize it for a specific task. The operation was complicated by major logistical problems. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in victory for Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Slæ̈rn Jágá-grart's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
